BareMinerals Complexion Rescue

By The Beauty Cupboard - August 12, 2019

This tinted moisturizer is not a new product but it's something that I feel not a lot of Filipina's are aware about. It's something that I have been obsessed with for the past 3 years since I stumbled upon it at Sephora while I was in the States.

The BareMinerals Complexion Rescue ($32USD via Sephora.com)

I have always been the type of girl who that has been into minimal bases combined with spot concealing and with me having chronically dry skin, it has always been important to me that my base is not drying and most importantly, it should not emphasize the dry patches I usually have on my cheeks and forehead.

Consistency wise it's more like a semi gel-cream to me than a gel alone, it's cool on the skin which is a plus when I use it in Manila.

As you can see in the swatch above, one dollop is enough to cover almost your entire face because the texture of the product is very slippery once it touches your skin, BareMinerals claims that this product does not contain any oils or silicone so I find it impressive as to how it easily applies on the skin.

This may not be for the full coverage foundation type of girl but it is a very lovely sheer base for girls who do not have much discoloration or pigmentation on their skin. On me, complexion rescue has sheer coverage but I don't mind because as I said earlier in this post, I always spot conceal my pimple scars and dark marks with my favorite concealer (Can you guess which one it is?)

I love the feel, how dewy it leaves my skin and how long it lasts on my face (it lasts more or less 8-10 hours without any setting powder) , now if only Manila can decide what weather it wants.

What about you, what is your favorite sheer coverage tinted moisturizer/foundation?
