Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Serum

By The Beauty Cupboard - January 05, 2020

I've always been careful about the products I use on my face, so before trying a new skincare product I do a lot of research and I really have to be cautious because some products end up drying out my face even more.

Kiehl's has always been a go to for me regarding skincare, I'm also an avid user of their Ultra Facial Moisturizer and some other serums (we'll talk about those in another post).

You're probably wondering what's in it, Kiehl's is most known for using mostly natural ingredients that will not be harsh on your skin, so you can expect that they make the midnight oil using safe and skin friendly ingredients.

Here's a list of some ingredients used:
Squalene, Evening Primrose Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Vitamin E, Rosemary Oil, Lavender Oil and cucumber extract. There are NO parabens / preservatives or artificial fragrances added.
The only thing I didn't like about the oil is the lavender scent that it has because of the lavender oil it contains but it's something I can live with since lavender oil can help lighten skin and also prevent/ reduce wrinkles.

Kiehl's suggests using the MRS (Midnight recovery serum) at night after cleansing your face, but I usually end up using 5-6 drops since I enjoy looking like I just came out of glass skin paradise and also because I have dry skin.

I've been using it for a while now and I can attest to the fact that it gives you a glow and it definitely moisturizes my dry skin really well (especially when used alongside their Ultra Facial Moisturizer (Php 1,645 for a 125ml bottle)

I usually get my stock when I'm in the States because it's much cheaper at $49/ Php 2, 480 for a 30 ml bottle and I can purchase a 3.4 fl oz (100 ml) bottle for $125  if I wanted to. But if you're in Manila, you can purchase the 15ml or 30 ml bottle at any Kiehl's store for Php 1,750 / Php 2,950, sadly they do not offer the 3.4 fl oz bottle in the Philippines.

Would I recommend that you head to a Kiehl's store near you and experience the Midnight Recovery oil yourself? I definitely do!

Have you tried it before, what are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments below.
